At Cycle Marbella we aim to please everybody, from clubs wanting some winter training, to groups of friends, or couples & individuals that are seeking a cycling break here in Andalusia.
All our routes whether they be a 2-3 hour half day loop, or one of our epic days out, they will be packed with fun and will challenge even the strongest of cyclist.
We will take you on 100’s of very varied kilometres of riding, from amazing climbs and descents to cruising through quiet country lanes, from the ocean roads to the great lakes of Ardeles and El Churro.
Check out below – just a few examples of where we may take you…
90K Marbella – Ojen – Cartama
This is a nice 90 km ride straight out of Marbella town center with a great technical climb/descent through the village of Ojen. With alpine style switch back turns it is quite a tough climb but it makes for great fun on the way back!
This route is easy to extend up to 120 km for a longer day in the saddle.
80KM – Pujerra Loop
This ride heads straight uphill gently towards Ronda before we head off in the direction of Pujerra onto the quiet lanes towards the white wash villages you never get to visit.
We take a little lunch in one of the villages and enjoy the calmness of it all, then pass through a another village or two before we hit the 20 km descent back into San Pedro. There is enough adrenaline rush here even for the most ardent thrill seekers or you can just cruise down enjoying the scenery.
This route can be extended by riding up into ronda.
130K La Cala – Alhaurin – Pizarra
A classic route – We head straight out of La Cala de Mijas moving in land towards Alhaurin el Grande once we pass the first climb it’s a nice undulating loop on very nice roads into the towns of Pizarra and Alora.
On this route the roads and the scenery just gets better and better.
100K La Cala – Cartama – Torremolinos
Almost the perfect ride, start off into the mountains and head around to the sea. We normally have lunch in a beach chiringuito before cycling back along the coast road through Benalmadena and Fuengirola before heading back to base.
A nice way to start any trip and 100 km in the bag!
150KM Camino del Rey
Once we hit Alora the fun really starts ,we enter the region famous for the lakes of Ardeles ,the mountain climbing village of El Churro with its magnificent Dam and the incredible Camino del Rey mountain pass, now a fully restored tourist attraction, definitely a day to bring your camera!
The ride is pretty spectacular as well with 2700m of climbing it is a challenge but very rewarding especially if your training for endurance events.
This maybe too much for some but shortening this ride is no problem we just hop in the minibus and half the distance.
50K – Entrerrios – Fuengirola
Perfect 50km ride if you have a spare half day or if you fancy an easy day.
We head out towards Fuengirola on a great cycling road then head back in a loop toward Entrerrios passing numerous golf courses as we go then its off to the bar!
